Debbie Savaris a Seattle based artist working in a variety of techniques in order to express her whimsical view of life and the world. While pen and ink are her first love she has recently branched out into encaustic collage as well as the creation of one-of-a-kind clocks and boxes. Many of her pieces can be seen at the Curious Nest in Seattle or by appointment.

Debbie Savar has been a working artist for over thirty years and uses a myriad of techniques from technical pen and ink with watercolour to mixed media encaustic collage. While her artistic training includes a BA in Fine Art from the University of Southern Colorado she feels that artistic learning and creation are a constant endeavour. Inspired by things of the past and the firm philosophy that each day should be lived to its fullest, her artwork is rich in powerful and playful imagery taken from a lifetime of travel and love of life and culture. Her two main sources of inspiration are her many travels to Mexico with her husband and her beloved cat muse.
